Srivisana Gowda, Jamb Kambala (traditional buffalo race) from Moodabidri, Karnataka, India, has just set a new record as the fastest runner in the history of traditional sports. Where he had defeated Usain Bolt (Runner from Jamaica) with a time of 9.58 seconds in 2009 at the time of the 100m World Olympic Games.
Based on information reported by Gulf News, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Kiren Rijiju Union, will call this traditional runner because he has defeated Usain Bolt and is to be tested.
According to the Indian Minister of Youth and Sports Kiren Rijiju wrote in his Twitter account, @KirenRijiju “I will call Srinivasa Gowda, Karnataka to be tested by top SAI Trainers. There is a lack of knowledge in standard mass about the Olympics especially in athletics where strength and power the highest human resistance is surpassed. ”
Faster than Usain Bolt Runners from Jamaica
The 28-year-old runner is a construction worker and only takes 13.62 seconds to cover a distance of 145 meters in Kambala, Aikala village, about 30 kilometers from Mangaluru. Srinivasa, also only needed 9.55 seconds to run 100 meters and netizens quickly commented that he was faster than the eight-time Olympic gold medalist, Usain Bolt.

Kambala is an annual competition held in Karnataka where people run 142 meters in the fields with buffalo. Traditionally, this was sponsored by local Tuluva landlords and households in the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.
Only Running in the Muddy Rice Fields
In an interview with local media, Srinivasa said, “People compare me to Usain Bolt. He is the world champion, I just ran in the muddy rice fields. ”
Through another tweet, the Minister of Youth and Sports of India also said that Srinivasa was on his way.
“Yes @PMuralidharRaoJi. Officials from SAI have contacted him. The train ticket is over and he will reach the SAI center on Monday. I will make sure the top national coaches do the trials correctly. We are the @narendramodiji team and will do everything for the identity of sports talent! ”
